Thai Compress

Herbal Compresses are traditionally used as part of Thai therapy which also includes massage and dietary considerations, and dates back over 2500 years ago. Thai Compress therapy incorporates the  benefits of aromatherapy, herbal treatment, heat and massage to form a deeply powerful and relaxing therapy that can provide a strong boost to de-toxification of the body.  The compress is filled with a wide range of herbs including lemongrass, prai, tumeric, kaffir lime, camphor and tamarind. It is heated in a steamer and then applied directly to the skin using sweeping and pounding movements in conjunction with massage techniques. A full treatment covers mostly the back, legs, and arms with a shorter time spent on the neck and face, and lasts for 1 hour.

This therapy is appropriate for individuals who want to detoxify the body. Inflammatory and antiseptic properties of the herbs are particularly beneficial for those with general tightness, aches and pains, or rheumatoid/ arthritic conditions. It is a good therapy for boosting circulation in general, although may not be suitable for those with uncontrolled hypertension, or more severe circulatory disorders.
